Enhancing security and simplifying logins with new settings and passkey options
Thank you for your feedback regarding the roll out of multi-factor authentication (MFA) for securing your employees' sensitive personal information.
We have revised the rollout plan to address your concerns concerning the release timing potentially disrupting your busy season.
This will be a two-part release for the following products:
- HR.Viewpoint.com
- Traqspera Mobile App
MFA will be enforced on these products based on your security settings.
New MFA Security Setting - Released on June 26, 2025
What: Log in to see a new security setting for MFA enforcement. The setting is turned “on” by default, but is inactive until the full release. You can turn off the security setting before we release MFA enforcement for all users.
To update the setting go to https://hr.viewpoint.com <Admin Settings < Security Settings
Release: MFA enforcement ACTIVE based on security setting
Estimated Release Date: After July 22nd
What: In this release, the MFA enforcement setting will be active. If you have enabled this setting, MFA will be enforced in your system.
Additionally, this release will remove the legacy Viewpoint ID login page that displays before the Trimble ID login page. This will improve the login experience for your users and allow them to use a passkey instead of their username and password when signing in to HR.Viewpoint.com
Note: This release will NOT affect the following:
- Federated customers
- Team.viewpoint.com
- Traqspera on the web
- Traqspera Time Clock
- New Hires logging in to onboarding
- Spectrum
Passkey is Easy for Field Users
We recommend creating a passkey for all users who log in on a phone. A passkey has the following benefits:
- It is easy to set up
- It makes it easy to log in. You don’t need to remember your login email or password.
- More than 1 million passkeys are in use for Trimble ID!

What if my employee has a new phone and is unable to log in or create a new passkey?
